We accept pet emergencies on a case-by-case basis. Please call us at 513-469-7654 to confirm if we can get your pet in for an emergency visit. If we cannot see your pet, we will refer you to an emergency pet hospital. Please see the “After Hours Emergency Care” section below.
What is Considered a Pet Emergency
Common Pet Emergency Warning Signs
- Difficulty breathing or excessive panting
- Vomiting or diarrhea that lasts for more than 24 hours
- Inability to urinate or defecate
- Severe lethargy or weakness
- Loss of appetite or refusal to eat
- Excessive drooling or foaming at the mouth
- Seizures or convulsions
- Bleeding or wounds that won’t stop bleeding
- Difficulty standing or walking
- Unusual behavior or aggression
- Swollen or bloated abdomen
- Pale gums or tongue
- Ingestion of a toxic substance or foreign object
If you notice any of these signs in your pet, it’s important to seek immediate veterinary care.
